YInMn Blue
Named for the main elements in its composition—yttrium (Y), indium (In), and manganese (Mn)—YInMn is the first wholly new blue pigment developed in over 200 years.
Created by scientists at Oregon State University in 2009, YInMn blue is known for its exceptional stability, making it ideal for use in coatings and plastics. It is also an environmentally safe alternative to other blues. Designers and manufacturers are just starting to explore potential applications.
The bold blue YInMn pigment could make a real statement on stage.
